Mission
The mission of the Gevirtz Office of Contracts, Grants and Research is to support and enhance faculty, researcher, and student research development, proposal preparation, award administration, and dissemination efforts; to promote awareness and observance of high standards for scientific, professional, and ethical practice in research; and to advance the visibility of research programs in the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education.
What We Do
Our office provides support to the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education community in four main areas: proposal preparation, post-award administration, human subjects administration, and research development. We administer over $10 million dollars in new funding each year from many different agencies. These include: the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Santa Barbara Foundation, the James Irvine Foundation, and the County of Santa Barbara.
