The Department of Counseling, Clinical and School Psychology’s Associated Students will present a Psychology Academic Panel on Wednesday, January 17 from 5-7 pm in ED 1215. A panel of psychology professors from different academic environments will discuss possible careers for students in the CCSP program after they graduate. The goal is to give attendees a sense of what it would be like to teach at a community college, private liberal arts college, in a PsyD program or at a public MA program. The evening will be moderated by Dr. Steve Smith, CCSP’s graduate advisor.
The panel includes: Dr. Stan Bursten, professor of psychology at SB City College; Dr. Andrea Gurney, professor of psychology at Westmont College; Dr. Merith Cosden, GGSE professor emeritus; Dr. Jamie Kent, associate professor of clinical psychology, PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium (Palo Alto University); and, Dr. Aaron Estrada, associate professor of psychology, Cal Poly, SLO.
