The Department of Education will be hosting a CV workshop on Thursday, January 19th from 12–1:50 pm in room 1207 of the Education Building (1207 ED Building) on the UC Santa Barbara campus. The workshop is open to graduate students in the Department of Education, and lunch will be provided to those who register.
This hands-on workshop will give Education students the opportunity to explore resources for writing CVs, including examples of different CVs and the formats CVs can take. Participants are asked to bring their laptops and a link to their CVs to share for the feedback portion of the event. Those who do not yet have a CV have been asked to use this format to create one.
The event will be hosted by Dr. Sarah Roberts and Dr. Karen Nylund-Gibson of the Gevirtz School of Education. It is the first event in a series of six community-building activities the department will host throughout the winter and spring quarter. “Students should go,” shares Dr. Nylund-Gibson, “because it's an opportunity to get to know the community and get support for their development.”
Interested graduate students can RSVP online by January 16th to help with lunch planning.
