The Gevirtz School at UC Santa Barbara has named its 2015-16 CalTeach Allergen and Hearst Scholars, students working on their teaching credentials in mathematics and science.

The Hearst Foundations are national philanthropic resources for organizations and institutions working in several fields, including education. They provide for fellowships open to those pursuing single subject credentials in science or mathematics in UCSB’s Teacher Education Program.
The Gevirtz School at UC Santa Barbara has named Julia Varboncoeur as the 2015-16 Allergan Scholar. The Allergan Foundation Scholarship is awarded to one individual pursuing a single subject credential in science or mathematics in UCSB’s Teacher Education Program. The Allergan Foundation focuses on supporting health and human services, as well as community programs, education and the arts.
