Jason Duque (Raley) of UC Santa Barbara's Gevirtz School is one of the invited speakers taking part in TEDxUCSB on Saturday, April 11, 3-7 pm at Embarcadero Hall. The event will be free of charge, with food provided, but attendees must apply and be on the guest list.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-esque experience. This year, the Regents and Chancellors Scholarship Association is honored to bring to the university a TEDx conference featuring some of UC Santa Barbara's leading educators and researchers, who will each deliver a compelling TEDx Talk within the context of his or her field.
Those interested in attending the conference need to complete a web questionnaire to help organizers build a passionate audience.
Please submit your application by 11:59 PM on Sunday, April 4th. Due to licensing issues, TEDxUCSB is only able to accept 100 applicants. The entire event will also be available on tedxtalks.ted.com for everyone to access.
